Songs for Nicholas

Verse 1

Paper cups roll down the shore Tumbling past the grey tide Nothing stays where it was before But you're the one thing I decide

Pre-chorus

So let the candles catch and glow Let every voice here start to swell We've got a name to call out slow

Chorus

Nicholas, the room lifts up for you Happy birthday, we won't miss Every year that you pull through Somehow turns to bliss

Verse 2

Waves keep coming, wearing thin Cups keep tumbling, none the same But you're the constant we tuck in The steady beat behind your name

Chorus

Nicholas, the room lifts up for you Happy birthday, we won't miss Every year that you pull through Somehow turns to bliss

Bridge

However far the tide has gone However long the grey has stayed You're still the one we count on The promise that has never swayed

Chorus

Nicholas, the room lifts up for you Happy birthday, we won't miss Every year that you pull through Somehow turns to bliss

Outro

Let the cups roll on the sand We're glad you're here, we'll raise a hand

Verse 1

Somebody strung the fence with foil Just to make this moment shine Every bar is dressed for you Catching light along the line
