Songs for Jenson

Verse 1

Grey smoke is curling soft above the red brick chimney Sparks fly up bright then fade to velvet skies The whole wide house is settling into stillness now And underneath it all, your quiet breathing lies

Chorus

Jenson, Jenson, the fire is burning low for you Every spark that rises knows the way back home Jenson, you are held here safe till morning finds you Nothing in this night will leave you on your own

Verse 2

The warmth is spreading slow through every corner of this room Outside the dark is gentle, nothing there to fear Your little hands are curled and resting, still and easy Sleep is only love that's learned to whisper near

Pre-chorus

Hush now, let the embers dim and settle Feel how soft the shadows fold around your bed Close your eyes, there's nowhere warmer you could be than

Chorus

Jenson, Jenson, the fire is burning low for you Every spark that rises knows the way back home Jenson, you are held here safe till morning finds you Nothing in this night will leave you on your own

Bridge

Long after the last spark has gone to sleep in ashes Somebody will still be watching over you
